PodCamp Pittsburgh Day 2 – #PCPGH4

by Russell Dunkin on October 12, 2009

Day two of my first PodCamp Pittsburgh experience turned out as well as the first. After spending much of Saturday attending sessions on setting up and writing blogs, as well as selling social media to your boss, I spent Sunday bouncing between more advanced blog writing sessions, and a few Justin Kownaki sessions on the 10 things no one else will tell you about social media and his closing session on Social Media: Good & Evil.

This of course, was all down while periodically and nervously checking the Steelers Lions score. Of course, this shouldn’t have been necessary, but the Steelers can’t seem to put anyone away this year, so the refresh button got a little workout.

But I digress.

After attending my first event, I both learned a great deal, and realized I know more than I thought I did. As I said Saturday, one of the best features of this conference is the recording of all five sessions per hour for the entire weekend. I plan on spending some time catching the presentations I missed in the coming weeks as they are made available by the organizers.

PodCamp Cleveland is coming the spring of 2010, and I’m looking forward to Podcamp Pittsburgh next summer! Should be great!

Finally, I’ll leave you with the “image” of the weekend – the Pittsburgh Art Institute Creation Rex wearing we biggest podcamp t-shirt they could find!

  • I haven't seen a date, but they seem to have a partially functioning website, and a Twitter feed. I'm with you, I haven't been to Cleveland for much, but this would get me there!
  • I kept hearing rumors of a Podcamp Cleveland so I'm glad to see its coming together. I'd finally have a reason to go up there :)

    cheers!
